MCX Gold futures were trading 0.33 per cent, or Rs 100, down at Rs 30,318 per 1 kg at around 11 am.

MCX Gold futures were up 0.02 per cent, or Rs 6, at Rs 30,407 per 10 grams at around 11.25 am.

MCX Gold futures were down 0.36 per cent, or Rs 109, at Rs 30,464 at around 11.05 am (IST).

"Gold can move in range of Rs 30,400-30,600 while silver can move in range of Rs 38,000-38,600 in near term," SMC said.

“Gold can move in a range of Rs 30,550-30,900 while silver can move in a range of Rs 38,200-38,700 in the near term,” SMC said.

Buying by jewellers and investors propped up the yellow metal, too.

The country’s gold imports surged 67% in 2017 from the previous year to 855 tonnes.

MCX Gold was trading 0.13 per cent, or Rs 36, down at Rs 28,521 per 10 gram around 10.40 am.

MCX Gold was up 0.27 per cent or Rs 78 at Rs 29,295 per 10 gram today.

MCX Gold was trading 0.71 per cent, or Rs 204, up at Rs 29,075 per 10 gram today.

MCX Gold was trading 0.11 per cent or Rs 32 up at Rs 28,745.

Gold is likely to trade lower today on account of profit booking at higher levels.
