Deal worth Rs 500 crore to help Indian stent maker acquire global assets, boost R&D efforts

The deal size has not been disclosed yet. According to people in the know, the deal values Sahyadri at about Rs 1000 crore.

The acquisition would mark General Atlantic’s renewed focus on pharma, the buyout major having also backed Jubilant Lifesciences.

Everstone manages more than $5 billion worth of funds and had formed its healthcare platform Everlife in 2017.

The deal will be carried out via Everlife, the Singapore-headquartered fund said in a statement today without offering the deal value.
