Pocket FM appoints Suyog Gothi as VP and India head

At Pocket FM, he will be responsible for overseeing operations in India and implementing strategic initiatives to strengthen Pocket FM's market share. He will also focus on scaling up the user and writer community and driving sustainable growth.

ET reported on August 27 last year that Pocket FM was looking to double its investments to Rs 328 crore in creating original audio entertainment content, with one of its shows Insta Millionaire earning over Rs 82 crore in revenue and 10 other shows earning more than Rs 8 crore.
“His (Gothi's) proven track record and strategic vision align seamlessly with our goals for expansion and innovation. We are confident that Suyog will play a pivotal role in scaling up Pocket FM's success in India,” said Nishanth, cofounder and COO at Pocket FM.
In December last year, the company said it had set aside Rs 250 crore for writers who will contribute to its platform in 2024. It added that the top 10 writers on its platform were able to earn over Rs 2 crore during 2023.
Further, the platform’s listener community is said to have surpassed 130 million globally, with over 75 billion minutes of content being streamed in 2023.
