Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra on Monday invited the wrath of the Maharashtra government after taking a swipe at Shiv Sena leader and deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde for the party’s breakup, during a show in Mumbai.

Political satire aside, Kamra also revived an old beef with Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal.

When an audience member asked him about Ola scooters catching fire, Kamra responded by saying, "Indian businessmen don't even admit when they're wrong. Take the Ola guy, for example. What did I say that made him so angry? It's simple, you manufacture two-wheelers, and neither of the wheels works. And yet, he tells me, 'come work with us, let's build India together'."

Kamra said that businessmen have a "fetish" to build India, when they cannot even build a decent bike. He added that instead of fixing the reported issues in their bikes, Ola Electric has launched new colours. "Maybe a different shade will fix the problem," he joked.

Instead of offering him money, Kamra said Aggarwal should give it to people waiting for refunds.

Last October, Kamra had slammed Ola Electric on X, asking about rising consumer complaints and the company's plan to issue refunds. Aggarwal had hit back, saying, "If you can't help, then shut up and let us fix the real customer issues."

Recently, the comedian swiped at Aggarwal's mail to employees, following Elon Musk's example, asking for their day's report.

Aggarwal had also invited the comedian to help out at Ola’s service centres, promising him better pay “than his flop shows”.

"I have stopped tweeting about Ola because people keep blaming me. 'Because of you, my stocks have dipped!'" Kamra said.

Ola Electric's share price fell below Rs 100 for the first time in September and went under its IPO price of Rs 76 in November.

The stock has since tumbled further, slipping below Rs 50 last week.

There were over 10,000 complaints against Ola Electric, forcing the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) to issue a notice to the company.

Kamra called these agencies toothless. "They approach the Ola owner, and he just flashes a photo with Modi ji, and they turn around and leave," he quipped.
