Microland inks $55 mn IT services deal with Serco

Microland Ltd today said it has signed a multi-year IT infrastructure management services deal with UK-based Serco valued at USD 55 million.

NEW DELHI: IT infrastructure services company Microland Ltd today said it has signed a multi-year IT infrastructure management services deal with UK-based Serco valued at USD 55 million.

Microland has been providing remote IT infrastructure management services to Serco since 2005.

Under the new contract, Microland will continue to provide specialist support for a range of devices through an expanded team located in Birmingham (UK) and Bangalore, Microland said in a statement.

"This strategic contract ushers in a new era for Microland, wherein we would now be able to provide an integrated onshore-offshore solution to our global customers," Microland Chairman and Managing Director Pradeep Kar said.

Microland is headquartered in Bangalore and employs over 2,300 professionals worldwide.

"This new agreement builds on our existing six year partnership with Microland. It provides us with a cost effective and flexible solution for specialist IT infrastructure services to support our service delivery," Serco Technology Services Director Mark O'Connor said.
