Zomato raises 4th round of funding

Launched four years ago by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah, Zomato has operations in five countries.

Online food and nightlife guide Zomato has raised `55 crore in fourth round of funding from Info Edge, which runs Naukri.com. Info Edge has previously invested Rs 31 crore in the emerging venture over three rounds.

Launched four years ago by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah, Zomato has operations in five countries–India, United Kingdom, UAE, Sri Lanka and Qatar.

In India, the company has a presence in 13 cities. The company plans to use the funds to expand further in India and internationally. Info Edge now owns a 57.9% stake in the company, according a Bombay Stock Exchange filing .
