UCWeb partners with leading e-commerce firms

NEW DELHI: China-based mobile Internet browser company UCWeb today said it has partnered with leading e-commerce firms including Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal for a 15-day Diwali shopping festival.

"The idea is that you can browse and compare the product prices via UC Browser, to find the best available deals from Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Myntra, Jabong, Homeshop18 and Shopclues," the company said in a statement.

Shopping via UC Browser will also offer numerous prizes and exclusive cashback from multiple partners, it added.

UCWeb, an Alibaba Group company, said this is the first partnership of its kind where mobile browser and e-commerce giants work together.

"We (UCWeb and the e-tailers) are not only doing it on Diwali, but we will work closely to provide more discounts in the future. The partnership will go further beyond Diwali Shopping Festival, as more in-depth cooperation is under way," UCWeb India Managing Director Kenny Ye said.

Diwali Shopping Festival also provides cashback offers. For instance, every registered Amazon user will get Rs 150 worth giftcard, after their first purchase of Rs 1,000 or above via UC Browser.

The 15-day long Diwali Shopping Festival started on October 13 and will be hosted exclusively on UC Browser for Android and UC Browser for Windows Phone.

UC Browser, the flagship product of UCWeb, has over 35 per cent market share in India.
