Realme says surge in e-commerce orders post lockdown

KOLKATA: Smartphone maker Realme said it is receiving "massive orders" since Sunday midnight on e-commerce and will be able to meet the current demand through existing stocks till factory reopens.

The company said it has approached the state government to get necessary approvals for reopening limited production lines with measures to ensure the safety of employees.

"If we receive the approval, our factory’s primary task will be on producing the new Narzo series and the popular existing models including realme 6 series," it said on a release.


Realme said the offline stores and service centers in green zones and orange zones are gradually starting operations in accordance with the respective state government advisory and guidelines.

The company said it has decided to extend the warranty of products which expired during the lockdown period till June 30.

"Finally, we want to reinstate that realme along with partners will ensure strict social distancing precautions while operating and making sure that the orders are delivered safely to the customers. Realme has also procured necessary permissions for the vehicles to pick up goods and steps are taken to ensure proper supply to the customers," it said.
