Karbonn, Flipkart launch new range of affordable smartphones

NEW DELHI: Smartphone vendor Karbonn has tied-up with e-commerce major Flipkart to launch an exclusive range of budget smartphones starting at Rs 2699.

Karbonn Smart A50S is the cheapest among all, priced at Rs 2,699 and features 3.5 inch screen and 1.2 GHz dual core processor. The 2G phone runs Android Jelly Bean operating system and features 2 MP rear camera and digital front facing camera.


Karbonn Smart A52 features 512 MB RAM and comes with 4GB memory, besides having similar specs to Karbonn Smart A50S. Karbonn Smart A52 is priced at Rs 3,099.

Karbonn Smart A12 and Karbonn Smart A11 are 3G smartphones and run on Android KitKat operating system. Karbonn Smart A12 features 4 inch screen, while Karbonn Smart A11 features 4.3 inch screen.

Both the smartphones run on 1.2 Ghz processor and feature 5 MP rear camera and digital front facing camera.

Karbonn Smart A12 and Karbonn Smart A11 are priced at Rs 4,099 and Rs 4,499, respectively.

“We believe every Indian should have access to a smartphone. These Karbonn phones that have been made exclusively for Flipkart customers are a step in that direction,” Kalyan Krishnamurthy, SVP – Retail at Flipkart , said in a statement Wednesday.

Flipkart said that customers can order these phones online on www. flipkart.com and cash-on-delivery is available for these orders.
