Intex Technologies appoints Shantanu Das Gupta as senior VP

KOLKATA: Home grown cellphone maker Intex Technologies has appointed industry veteran Shantanu Das Gupta as senior vice president to head its consumer durables business. Das Gupta recently superannuated from Whirlpool where he was vice president.

A law graduate from Delhi university, he has also worked with organizations like Reckitt Benkiser and Hindustan Unilever.

Narendra Bansal, chairman and managing director at Intex Technologies said Das Gupta’s focus will be on the growth of the consumer durables and IT peripherals business and also in strengthening the processes and systems in areas like product delivery and services.
