Virtual and augmented reality startup AutoVRse has raised $2 million in a funding round led by Lumikai. Other investors included Rajat Monga, co-founder of TensorFlow and Inference.io, Viswanathan Krishnamurthi, ex-CIO and VP at Yahoo & Eaton, and Yash Kotak, founder and CEO of Jumper.ai.

The startup said the funding will be used to enhance its foundational enterprise product, VRseBuilder. It will also help AutoVRse augment its team, spearhead expansion efforts in the United States, and expand its product suite.

The company also plans to set up a business-to-business (B2B) sales team in the US to drive qualified lead generation and facilitate market expansion.

AutoVRse said the product is “an end-to-end modular technology stack and SaaS platform to integrate virtual reality (VR) into workflows of industries like manufacturing, construction, engineering, oil, and gas, automotive, replacing ineffective manual instruction, among others.”

“Our enterprise solutions offer ready-to-use and modular technology stack with SaaS-enabled deployment for purposes ranging from worker safety training to sales training and remote work design collaborations,” said cofounders Ashwin Jaishanker and Adarsh Muthappa.

The cofounders also said that their VR tech has been deployed with 51 plants of UltraTech Cements and trained over 50,000 workers in VR. The startup also said it has provided such solutions to companies like Shell, Godrej, Bosch, Tata Motors, and Aditya Birla Group, among others.
