Demand for GenAI skills is surging in India’s global capability centres (GCC) landscape, growing 32% year-on-year in 2024 driven by early adoption in BFSI, retail and platform firms. AI and data science roles are also raking in the highest salaries with premiums 25-40% more than traditional software engineers. Roles like generative AI engineer and AI model ops specialist are in high demand, a report by Quess showed.
