MUMBAI: On demand beauty services platform StayGlad raised fresh funds in its series A round from Bessemer Venture Partners and former Lakme Lever Chief Executive Anil Chopra.

The company had raised seed round of funding from Tracxn Labs and Sahil Barua of Delhivery in June 2015.

However, it did not disclose the amount it has raised.

The online platform is founded by three IIT Kharagpur graduates - Kavish Desai, Shashank Gupta and Prateek Jain - who have previously worked at Flipkart, Adobe and Amazon, respectively.

StayGlad's offers premium salon services at the customer's home.

"We have been growing 20 per cent week on week, and are focussed on building a loyal customer base, which reflects in the 70 per cent repeat orders every month," Prateek Jain, Chief Executive and Founder of StayGlad said.

StayGlad has a strict process of onboarding professionals, who undergo rigorous training, the company said adding that it employs technology to scale operations at a rapid pace.

"The beauty services industry is huge and growing at a rate of over 20 per cent per annum. Most women, across age groups in SEC A & B, avail of beauty services at least once in 3 months across big cities and smaller towns," former Lakme Lever CEO Anil Chopra said.

He believes the convenience of having these services at home will be a big game changer for the industry and customers.
