Flipkart & Amazon get ready for sale season, promise 70-80% discount on brands

Days after Amazon India announced its Great Indian Sale from January 21-24, Flipkart on Tuesday announced its sale around the same time. Flipkart's Republic Day sale will be held from January 21-23.

Both companies are poised to offer deals across categories such as smartphones, fashion and home appliances.

Flipkart will be offering up to 80% off on laptops, cameras, clothing, footwear, furnishing and nearly 70% off on TV and other appliances. Flipkart will also be showcasing its 'The India Store', offering a curated selection of the most diverse products from India.


In addition to using the occasion to launch a smartphone, it will also be offering great deals and discounts Samsung, Apple and Google phones. Its in-house fashion labels including MarQ, Metronaut and Divastri will also offer apparel and accessories at throwaway prices.

On similar lines, Amazon India will also be providing interesting deals on mobiles, laptops, apparel, large electronics, and home and kitchen products. Additionally, Prime members will get a 12-hour early access from January 20.

The Great Indian Sale is promising deals on over 10,000 brands across product categories, along with no cost EMIs and exchange offers. With up to 40% off on mobile phones, up to 55% off on home and kitchen appliances and up to to 80% off on fashion, it may offer a lot of value to users' purchase this festival.
