Amazon India prepares for its most anticipated event yet

Building on the success of new product launches last year, Amazon is launching the second edition of its highly anticipated Prime Day event this month. Starting at July 16 noon, the sale will run through till midnight on July 17.

According to the e-commerce giant, shoppers can expect "over 200 exclusive new product launches from top brands, small businesses and Indian startups" during the sale period. Alongside the new launches, there would also be plenty of deals on mobiles, electronics, appliances, fashion and everyday essentials "at the lowest prices of the year".

What is more, for the first time on Prime Day, members can shop from hundreds of deals from Amazon’s international selection.


Blockbuster opening
Prime Day celebrations will start early on Prime Video with seven blockbuster titles launching over seven days starting July 10 including Raazi, Dunkirk, Transformers: The Last Night, and the Prime Original show, Comicstaan.

Amazon Prime Music will also be launching specially curated playlists in several Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Malayalam, Gujarati, Rajasthani, Bengali and two new languages - Assamese and Odia.

"We were humbled by the fantastic response to our first Prime Day last year and are delighted to bring it back for Prime members in India," said SVP & Country Manager, Amazon India, Amit Agarwal. "More than 100 million Prime members around the world, including India, will find this our best Prime Day celebration yet," he added.

Prime offer
Prime Day is Amazon's flagship event that is celebrated in 17 countries, including India. Other than the annual subscription of Rs 999 a year, customers can also join Prime for Rs 129 a month.

Here is what members can expect from Amazon Prime Day 2018:
Access to over 200 exclusive new launches: This will include OnePlus 6 Red, gaming laptops from HP and Acer and All-Terrain cycles from Hero. Additionally, they can also look forward to launches from HUL, L’Oréal, Sennheiser, Bang & Olufsen, GAP, Fast Track and American Tourister, among others.

Launches from Indian startups: Members will get exclusive access to launches from Indian startups under Amazon’s Launchpad program, such as anti-theft backpacks by RoadGods and Alexa-enabled smart bulbs by Mansaa.

Shop with SMEs: Prime members will get access to exclusive launches by small businesses such as brass idols by Two Moustaches, accessories by Pipa Bella, kids’ toys by Toyshine and musical instruments by SG Musical. Prime members will also be able to shop for new handicraft products such as Kalamkari Ikat, Pochampally & Banarasi Sarees, Ajrakh hand-block printed apparels and even tribal paintings and jewelry.

Access to top international deals: For the first time, Prime members in India will have access to hundreds of top international Prime Day deals.

Ultra-fast two hour delivery with Prime Now: Prime members in Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi and Hyderabad will be able to enjoy ultra-fast two hour delivery of consumer electronics, Amazon Devices, everyday essentials and more on the Prime Now app.
