“We look forward to rapidly scale our team and focus on aggressive growth,” said Bhatti, whose product finds takers in United States and Europe as well.

BANGALORE: Enterprise software maker Whatfix secured $300,000 (Rs 1.8 crore) in funding from Korean conglomerate Hanwa Group after it was adjudged best startup in Asia at a conference in Seoul.

The Bangalore-based company won the award at Dreamplus Alliance, a conference in Seoul where top accelerators and their portfolio companies including India’s GSF, Vietnam’s Egg Accelerator came together for a two-day event.

Two-year-old Whatfix, which helps companies create, share or use interactive How-To's for their businesses was founded by 39-year-old Khadim Bhatti and counts online retailer Flipkart as one of its customers.

“We look forward to rapidly scale our team and focus on aggressive growth,” said Bhatti, whose product finds takers in United States and Europe as well.

Whatfix was competing against the likes of China’s web portal startup Neonan, Korea’s messaging tool Pyra, and twelve others who came from countries such as Vietnam, China, Thailand and Taiwan.
