Flipkart Gridlock Hackathon Receives 1000 plus Entries
BENGALURU: The Flipkart Gridlock Hackathon aimed at finding a technology-based response to solving Bengaluru's traffic congestion has seen 2942 registrations and over a 1000 teams responding.

The challenge was announced on June 7 as part of the ' Month of Innovation' by the company for its 10th year anniversary has received entries from 400 companies including ISRO, Mercedes Benz R&D, Amazon, Amazon Web Services, Acenture, E&Y, McKinsey & Company, Ola Cabs among others. The teams competing in the hackathon also includes entries from Seattle, Dubai and Bangladesh.

The participating teams are using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models to implement solutions that integrate different systems to make traffic smooth and easy to manage. The online hackathon will be judged based on parameters like impact, feasibility, scalability and sustainability.

The best entries will present their ideas to a jury.
