Germany's Dresden University and IIT Chennai sign pact to offer dual degrees

In a move to strengthen educational collaboration between India and Germany, Dresden University of Technology and IIT Chennai have signed an agreement to offer dual degrees. This partnership aims to enhance academic opportunities for students from both countries, allowing them to gain qualifications that are recognized internationally.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted this development at a recent joint press meet, emphasizing its importance for India's youth. “People to People Connect is an important pillar of our relations. We have decided to work together in the fields of skilling and vocational education,” he said, underlining the significance of the agreement between IIT Chennai and Dresden University.

The dual-degree program is expected to benefit Indian students by opening doors to higher education and professional prospects in Germany’s robust academic environment.
