Andhra Pradesh weather today
According to the State Disaster Management Authority, rainfall is expected in parts of Andhra Pradesh due to a surface circulation over the south coastal region and nearby areas. On Sunday (October 12), light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning and thunder is likely in Amravati, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Prakasam, Annamayya, Chittoor, and Tirupati districts.Officials have advised people to remain alert during sudden thunderstorms and lightning. The department said, “People should stay cautious during sudden rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.”
Telangana weather today
In Telangana, the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre said the state will witness rainfall for the next four to five days. On Sunday, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, and Suryapet districts.The forecast indicates that on Monday, similar weather conditions may extend to Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Gadwal districts. A yellow alert has been issued for these regions.
For October 14, rainfall is expected in Mulugu, Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Bhongir, Rangareddy, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Gadwal districts. The IMD has also issued yellow alerts for these districts.
Weather: IMD Alert for Southern States
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that southern states such as Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala are likely to receive widespread rain and thunderstorms in the coming week. As per the All India Weather Forecast and Warning Bulletin released on October 12, these regions will continue to see light to moderate rainfall till October 18, with a few areas experiencing heavier showers.According to the latest IMD update, the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon has started from several parts of central and eastern India, while southern states remain affected by various weather systems. People have been advised to stay cautious and plan their travel according to the weather forecast, especially in areas prone to heavy rain or thunderstorms.
