Taiwan: Semicon Network Summit 2026 drives global semiconductor partnerships

SEMICON Taiwan, one of Asia's largest semiconductor trade shows, officially opened in Taipei on Wednesday (September 2), drawing more than 1,300 exhibitors from around the world as companies sought to capitalise on booming demand driven by artificial intelligence. The three-day event comes as strong demand across the semiconductor industry continues to fuel growth across the semiconductor supply chain, from chipmaking equipment and materials to advanced packaging technologies. Singapore-based PBA Group showcased two thermo compression bonding gantry systems at the exhibition. Chief Executive Derrick Yap said the company was "expanding aggressively" as demand for advanced packaging continues to grow, driven by chipmakers seeking to boost performance and integrate increasingly complex AI systems.
