Union Home Minister Amit Shah has targeted Rahul Gandhi following the BJP’s victory in the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation elections, asking whether the result could also be attributed to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The BJP won 38 of 44 seats, while the Congress increased its tally from two to five. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which contested 32 seats, failed to win any and lost its deposits in all 32, according to Shah. He also challenged the Congress to introspect over its repeated electoral defeats in Gujarat.
