Samson's century in 40 balls places him among the fastest T20I hundreds by full-member nations.
India shattered multiple records during the third and final T20 International match against Bangladesh in Hyderabad on Saturday. Sanju Samson led the charge, scoring the second-fastest century by an Indian and his first T20I hundred, as the hosts posted a massive total of 297/6—the second-highest in T20I history.

Samson reached his century in just 40 balls, finishing with a blistering 111 off 47 deliveries, which included eight sixes and 11 fours. He shared a rapid 173-run stand with skipper Suryakumar Yadav, who contributed a quickfire 75 off 35 balls, hitting five sixes and eight fours.

Towards the end, Hardik Pandya (47 off 18 balls, 4 fours, 4 sixes) and Riyan Parag (34 off 13 balls, 1 four, 4 sixes) continued the onslaught, adding 70 runs for the fourth wicket and propelling India close to the 300-mark, leaving the Bangladesh bowlers in tatters.
