India posted a massive score of 221/9 in 20 overs on the back of Nitish Kumar Reddy's 34-ball 74, including seven sixes. Rinku Singh too scored a brisk half century. The duo joined hands when India was 43/3 inside the powerplay and added 108 runs off just 49 balls for the fourth wicket. Hardik Pandya carried the momentum with a 19-ball 32 and Riyan Parag played a six-ball cameo for 15 runs.
Taskin Ahmed was the best bowler for the visitors with figures of 2/16 in four overs. Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain picked up three wickets in the final over of the innings but had already given away over 50 runs by then. Tanzim Sakib and Mustafizur Rahman picked a couple of wickets each.
Chasing the mammoth total, Bangladesh never got going and were reduced to 46/4 in the seventh over. Mahmudullah, playing his final series, fought a lone battle and ended with 41 runs. The knock included three strikes into the crowd. The Indian bowlers hunted in a pack as all seven bowlers used picked up at least one wicket, with Varun Chakravarthy and Reddy bagging two. Bangladesh struggled their way to 135/9 in 20 overs.
The last match of the series will be played on October 12 in Hyderabad, where India would want players like Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag to come good and try their bench strength after having played the same team in the first two T20Is.
