Team India put up a dominant show against Bangladesh
Team India on Sunday crushed Bangladesh by seven wickets and 49 balls remaining at Gwalior lead the three-match series 1-0. This was the biggest win in terms of balls to spare in a chase in excess of 100 for India. The dominant victory cam on the back of Hardik Pandya's 16-balls 39 not out. Captain Suryakumar Yadav scored a brisk 29 off 14 balls, while Samson, opening the innings, got 29 off 19 balls. Bangladesh bowlers struggled to hit good lines and lengths as only Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mustafizur Rehman were among the wickets.

Bangladesh were bowled out for 127 as mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy, returning to the team after three years, and Arshdeep Singh picked up three wickets each. Debutant pacer Mayank Yadav, Hardik Pandya and off-spinner Washington Sundar took one wicket each. Miraz scored an unbeaten 35 batting at 7, to drag Bangladesh to a respectable total after having been reduced to 57/5 in the 10th over. Captain Najmul Hossain Shato scored 27 runs.

The massive win came even as India fielded a relatively inexperienced side with Mayank Yadav and Nitish Reddy making their debuts.

The Second T20I will take place in Delhi on October 9 and the final match will be played on October 12 in Hyderabad.
