India has hit back at Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s UNGA speech, with First Secretary Petal Gahlot accusing Islamabad of making “hypocritical homilies” on democracy and human rights. Gahlot said Pakistan is a regime “of the army, by the army, and for the army,” while questioning its political and human-rights record.
