He was talking to media persons at Amrala village in Modinagar after condoling the death of former activist Subey Singh.
Singh was injured in retaliatory police action on agitating farmers at Muradnagar Gang Nehar Regulator on September 18.
The farmers were protesting to stop the supply of water of Ganges to Delhi. Singh succumbed to his injures on November 19.
As per official communique, Krishna Karunesh, the sub-divisional Magistrate of Modi Nagar has been designated by Ghaziabad District Magistrate to conduct an enquiry into the death of Subey Singh, and has appealed the general masses to provide information or evidence till December 12, regarding circumstances leading to his injury and subsequent death.
Jayant's cavalcade stopped midway at Rajnagar Extension here while he was heading towards Amrala village.
RLD Mahanagar President Ramanand Goel told that Jayant addressed the party workers gathered at Raj Nagar Extenion.
In his address he exhorted them to work for the masses and prepare for December 23 to celebrate the birthday of former Prime Minister Late Chaudhary Charan Singh at Kisan Ghat in New Delhi.
