West Bengal Panchayat elections: Crude bomb hurled at polling station, BJP candidate killed

In the ongoing West Bengal Panchayat elections, a BJP candidate was killed inside a polling booth after a crude bomb was hurled at the booth. BJP leader Babul Supriyo condemned the violence that has erupted on polling day and hit out at TMC leader Derek O'Brien for making a "deplorable" statement. "What is happening today is unprecedented. It has never happened before in West Bengal," Supriyo told news agency ANI.
