Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav cautions against parties relying on 'branding, marketing'
BAREILLY: In an apparent attack on the BJP, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said people should remain cautious of parties which rely on " branding and marketing" and have nothing to do with development.

"Slogans like "Acche din" were part of branding and marketing. Now people have understood it. You all should remain alert with such parties," Akhilesh said while addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Bareilly- Bageshwar Highway.

On providing financial aid to families of victims of various incidents, Akhilesh said, it was the responsibility of the government to help them and making an issue out of it was not justified.

"We are ready for a debate on the issue but some parties are trying to vitiate the communal atmosphere of the state using social media platforms and WhatsApp. Samajwadi Party can give a reply to them but the government will deal with it," he said.

Akhilesh further said the development and social welfare works initiated by his government were being followed by other states.

Later, the Chief Minister left for Haldwani to greet former CM Narain Dutt Tiwari on his birthday.
