Third Eye: This political family is a team now
Assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh also gives a new dimension to the Gwalior-Chambal belt with Jyotiraditya Scindia trying to flip the turf to the BJP and the Congress trying to wrest it as ‘Scindia-mukht’ region.

For the First time since the 80s, the political turf is witnessing all political members of the Scindia family — Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and his aunts Vasundhara Raje and Yashodhara Raje — perched on to the same political party, the BJP. This election in Madhya Pradesh also gives a new dimension to the Gwalior-Chambal belt with Jyotiraditya Scindia trying to flip the turf to the BJP and the Congress trying to wrest it as ‘Scindia-mukht’ region.
On the Rajasthan front, curiosity is on whether the BJP will also use this poll to signal the eclipse of the Scindia in Vasundhara Raje.
Singing in Tune With Politics
Garbhas and Bhajan evenings are very common during Navratri time and looks like BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya is making the most of this festive season. When invited to such spiritual evenings, Vijayvargiya, a well-known singer from Indore assembly segment, sings Bhajans. What an innovative way to campaign and reach out to people during festive time!
Enjoying Food Together
Navratri is all about forgetting animosity and embracing brotherhood and BJP Rajasthan core group meeting proved just that. Recently at the meeting at Pralhad Joshi’s house satwik food came from Gajendra Shekhawat’s residence, Joshi’s neighbor just across the road. Many leaders, including former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje, were observing fast during Navratara and Joshi’s house didn’t have satwik food. Though Raje and Shekhawat are not on the best of equations, everyone enjoyed the food!
Congress must learn from NCP on how to manage differences. In spite of the split and speculation that Ajit Pawar might field his wife Sunetra against Supriya Sule in Baramati, the Pawar family is going all out to give an appearance that all is well.
On October 18, Sunetra celebrated her birthday and Supriya was part of the celebration. Supriya seems to be walking the talk when she claims that the Pawar family will remain united.
