The J&K Chief Minister led senior officers of the army, police and civil administration in paying tributes to the Army personnel killed in the militant attack in Samba.

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today led senior officers of the army, police and civil administration in paying tributes to the Army personnel killed in the militant attack in Samba.


Omar laid a floral wreath on the coffin carrying body of soldier Inder Singh at a ceremony held at Technical area of Jammu Airport this morning, a defence spokesman said.

He said senior officers of army, police and civil administration also laid wreaths on the soldier, who was killed in an attack on Army camp at Samba yesterday.

The officers included General Officer Commanding of 9 Corps of the Army Lt General P Bakshi, Director General of Police Ashok Prasad and Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu, the spokesman said.

He said body of Singh has been flown to Jaipur from where the local army formation will take it to native village of the deceased for last rites.

The body of Lt Col Bikramjeet Singh, who was killed in the attack, has already been flown to Chandigar.
