Naxals kill villager in Chhattisgarh
RAIPUR: Naxals today killed a villager suspecting him of being a police informer in Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur district, police said.

The body of 27-year-old Budhram Salaam was found near his native Remawand village under Narayanpur police station limits this morning, Station House Officer Amar Singh Komre told PTI.

As per the villagers, a group of Maoists stormed into Budhram's house last night and dragged him away from the village.

His body was spotted by the locals outside the village in the morning following which they informed police.

A police team rushed to the spot and the body was sent for postmortem, Komre said.

"Prima facie it appears that he was strangulated to death," the SHO said, adding that a Naxal pamphlet branding him a police informer was found near the body.
