Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena
LG VK Saxena on Sunday raised objections to Delhi government's proposal to convene a one-day special assembly session on Monday to discuss CBI summons to Arvind Kejriwal.

In a face-off like the one between governor and AAP's Punjab government, Saxena has pointed out procedural lapses in convening a special session. He said the special session was recommended by the Delhi Cabinet without specifying the legislative business, which would have allowed the House members to come prepared for fruitful deliberations and said it did not follow the due procedure.

AAP government, however, looked determined to hold the session. Emerging after CBI questioning, Kejriwal advised Saxena to read the Constitution or consult experts. "We will hold the session," he said.

Earlier, Saxena pointed out, "I fail to understand as to under what circumstances and under which provision of the GNCTD Act 1991 the Second Part of the Fourth Session (budget session) of the Seventh Legislative Assembly has been convened instead of moving a proposal for Prorogation of the Budget Session and convening of the 'One Day Session' as per the Cabinet Decision."
