Lalu Prasad Yadav expels Tej Pratap Yadav from RJD for six years

RJD leader Lalu Prasad on Sunday disowned his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav and expelled him from the party for six years for irresponsible behaviour.

The decision was taken after Tej Pratap Yadav posted a picture with a girl named Anushka Yadav on his social media post claiming that he has been in a relationship with her for the past 12 years. Later, several pictures and videos of Tej Pratap and the girl emerged on social media which put the Yadav family in a fix. On Sunday, Lalu Prasad took on X to clarify the position. "Ignoring moral values in personal life weakens our collective struggle for social justice. The activities, public conduct and irresponsible behaviour of my eldest son are not in accordance with our family values and traditions. Therefore, due to the above circumstances, I remove him from the party and family," Yadav wrote in his post. He said people associated with Tej Pratap Yadav should make their own decisions.

Tej Pratap is an MLA from Hasanpur constituency. He is currently fighting a divorce case against Aishwarya Rai, granddaughter of former Bihar CM Daroga Rai. Tejashwi Yadav said he supported the expulsion of his brother from the party.
