NEW DELHI: With assembly elections likely in February, BJP has started preparations for the polls. On Wednesday, the party announced a list of committees which will oversee the election preparations. Union science and technology minister Harsh Vardhan will head the manifesto committee.

Vardhan will prepare the manifesto for the election along with V K Malhotra. New Delhi MP Meenakshi Lekhi will be in charge of women and government employees, West Delhi MP Parvesh Verma will look after youth, Northeast Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari would mobilize the Poorvanchali community, Northwest Delhi MP Udit Raj will hold meetings with Scheduled Castes voters, East Delhi MP Maheish Girri will meet representatives of religious and social institutions and Ramesh Bidhuri will be in charge of urban villages.

Vijender Gupta has been made in-charge of a committee which will do booth level analysis for each assembly constituency. Sources say all committee heads have been asked to complete the work by January 25.
