Election Commission has banned the publication and dissemination of exit polls of any kind in poll-bound Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir.

RANCHI: Election Commission has banned the publication and dissemination of exit polls of any kind in poll-bound Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir.

"The publication and dissemination of exit polls of any kind in Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir have been banned," Chief Election Commissioner of Jharkhand P K Jajoria, said while quoting a statement of ECI here today.

He said voting for the first phase of Assembly polls in Jharkhand will start from 7 am and will last till 3 pm.
