Delhi: Hours after Supreme Court verdict, Kejriwal govt removes Services secretary Ashish More
The removal came hours after the Supreme Court gave the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party government control over the transfer and posting of officers in the state.

The removal came hours after the Supreme Court gave the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party government control over the transfer and posting of officers in the state.
In an keenly-watched verdict, the top court on Thursday ruled that the "Delhi government has legislative and executive powers over administration of services except for matters relating to public order, police and land."
Till the verdict, the Services department was under the control of Delhi's Lieutenant Governor (LG).
The development came as a significant relief for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his party. Many recent face-offs between AAP and the LG had hobbled a range of key functions of the state government.
Kejriwal, in a press conference following the verdict, said that there would be a major administrative reshuffle in the government. The CM warned of action against officers who "obstructed" public works.
