Congress ticket aspirants to be interviewed on Mar 26, 27

PUDUCHERRY: Congress in Puducherry today said it would hold interviews of those seeking party tickets to contest the May 16 assembly elections this week end.

PCC President A.Namassivayam in a release said aspirants for party tickets in Puducherry and Karaikal regions which account for 28 of the total 30 assembly seats would be interviewed at the party office here on March 26 and 27.

Namassivayam has not mentioned the dates for interview of aspirants in Mahe and Yanam regions which have one seat each.

The announcement comes ahead of talks by AICC leaders with DMK later this week to finalise the seat sharing for the polls.
