Bihar polls: JD(U) and RJD try to corner PM Narendra Modi over choice of words
“He called Lalu ‘shaitan’ (devil) and a virus. He has said Lalu’s sons cannot tell how many zeroes are there in one lakh," RJD spokesperson Manoj Jha said.

Some of the recent utterances of Modi have given a handle to JD(U) and RJD leaders to counter BJP’s attacks on Lalu over his “Hindus also eat beef ” comment, which had caused concern to the Grand Alliance. Modi’s choice of words while alleging that Prasad is only fighting these polls to settle his daughter and two sons in politics is being highlighted by RJD, including Misa, to slam the PM.
“The PM has lowered the level of political discourse and substantially so,” RJD spokesperson Manoj Jha alleged. “He called Lalu ‘shaitan’ (devil) and a virus. He has said Lalu’s sons cannot tell how many zeroes are there in one lakh. He said Laluji is fighting to ‘set’ his daughter (Misa) in politics. Set is a very pejorative term in Bihar,” Jha told ET.
