According to sources, Kejriwal government sent the file with new portfolio allocation to the L-G on Tuesday and is awaiting approval. With this change, Atishi would hold the most number of portfolios in Kejriwal's Cabinet.

Almost four months after inducting new ministers and Cabinet rejig, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal will effect another change and is likely to allocate the crucial finance, revenue and development portfolios to education minister Atishi.

According to sources, Kejriwal government sent the file with new portfolio allocation to the L-G on Tuesday and is awaiting approval. With this change, Atishi would hold the most number of portfolios in Kejriwal's Cabinet.

After her induction in March, Atishi holds education, power, public works department, woman and child, art and culture, tourism, training and technical education and public relations portfolios. With finance and revenue under her, Atishi, the only woman Cabinet minister, would become practically the number two in the Cabinet.


A notification is likely on Friday.
