Amit Shah meets Delhi BJP members, asks them to gear up for assembly elections
"He told Satish Upadhyay that the coming election is going to be Delhi BJP's biggest test and asked the state unit to gear up," said a senior BJP office-bearer.

Shah visited the Delhi BJP headquarters where he met all senior functionaries, including in-charges of local units. Though the election was not discussed in detail at the meeting, sources say the idea was to send a message to party workers that he will be personally monitoring the elections.
"He told Satish Upadhyay that the coming election is going to be Delhi BJP's biggest test and asked the state unit to gear up," said a senior BJP office-bearer.
During his 30-minute stay at the Delhi BJP headquarters, Shah met over 70 party members holding key posts. Sources say the unit is planning a Delhi executive in the next few days which is also likely to be attended by Shah.
Before coming to the venue, Shah participated in a cleanliness drive and planted saplings at a government colony in New Delhi area to mark 'Good Governance Day'. Many BJP functionaries and MPs participated in similar work during the day.
Shah also participated in a 'Shramdaan' at a central government employees' colony at Albert Square in Sector C of Gole Market, a stronghold of Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal. Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay and MP from New Delhi Meenakshi Lekhi also took part in the event. "The national president leading us to undertake cleanliness drive and engage in shramdaan will motivate more to do their bit for society. We ensured that the entire colony was cleaned to mark Good Governance Day," Rajiv Singh, co-convener of BJP's Swachhta Abhiyan cell, said.
