‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’: BJP appeals for lamp-lighting on PM Modi’s birthday

The BJP has appealed to people to light an ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ at their homes on September 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. BJP president Nitin Nabin, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and other party leaders have made the appeal through social media. The lamp-lighting initiative is part of the month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, which will feature service activities, welfare outreach and public-participation programmes across the country. The campaign will also mark 25 years since Modi first became Gujarat Chief Minister in October 2001.
