External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday said wars anywhere in the world threaten peace everywhere, warning that global interdependence has made the consequences of conflict increasingly far-reaching.

“The indivisibility of our existence permeates every aspect of human activity, and it has actually deepened as globalization has advanced,” Jaishankar said. “Let us consider the indivisibility of peace and the fact that now war anywhere threatens peace everywhere.” He also described terrorism as another deadly threat to peace.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday described his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat as a “pilgrimage” to understand and honour the contributions of ordinary Indians, marking 12 years of the broadcast during its 139th episode.

"12 years ago, on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, we began 'Mann Ki Baat'. Since then, our journey has continued uninterrupted. All of you have been both fellow travellers and guides on this journey. For me, 'Mann Ki Baat' has been a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the hard work, courage, commitment, dedication and spirit of service of the common man of our country. Our country has had a tradition of pilgrimages for centuries. For me, 'Mann Ki Baat' is not less than a pilgrimage, a journey to closely understand the efforts of people of the country and to pay tribute to their contributions," the Prime Minister said.

In another news, protecting national interests, sovereignty and freedom of action remains India’s primary objective, Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh said on Sunday in an interview with PTI, underlining the country’s focus on safeguarding its strategic autonomy.

Separately, US President Donald Trump on Saturday said there is a possibility that an attack on Iran could happen soon.

The remarks were made after Trump cast his ballot in the midterm elections early on Saturday in Florida.

Interacting with reporters, when asked if the US will carry out a possible attack on Iran, Trump said, "Do you really think I'd tell you that? Maybe tomorrow...There's a possibility I will. There's also a possibility we'll have a nice, big, beautiful agreement. They want to make a deal, but the problem is, will they hold the deal?"

US President defended his administration's plan in West Asia while praising the forces on the ground.

"We have done an amazing job. Our Navy and military have done an amazing job. They have knocked out every jet fighter of Iran. 259 ships are at the bottom of the sea. They are only left with record inflation," he said.

Meanwhile, Iran has made no new proposal to Pakistani mediators and rejects a reported offer to US on reopening of the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for lifting the US naval blockade, the IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news agency reported.

Terrorism is another deadly threat to peace: Jaishankar

"India expresses global sentiment when we urge that dialog and diplomacy are the only solution. We are making efforts ourselves and are open to working with other partners to that end. Terrorism is another deadly threat to peace. Its usage as an instrument of statecraft is simply unacceptable. It can never be justified. It can never be rationalized. Yet it continues because not all states really display zero tolerance," said EAM Jaishankar.

Modi Govt deals another lethal blow against drugs with Operation Trident. Our agencies launched a barrage of simultaneous crackdowns across 38 locations in Assam, Mizoram and Manipur on 23 October, smashing an international narco-cartel. The operation revealed ₹100 crore worth of hawala transactions, froze 1,424 bank accounts, attached properties worth ₹17.82 crore, seized 500 detonators and ₹12 lakh in cash, and led to the arrest of 18 people. The network trafficked narcotics across the borders of India, Myanmar and Bangladesh through the Death Triangle Corridor. The offensive attests to India’s Himalayan resolve to realise the mission of eradicating every drug network by 31 December 2029. India will hammer until the last nail is driven into the coffin of drug cartels

We have been preparing for this for the past four years. At the previous Asian Para Games, Ashok (weightlifter Ashok Kumar Malik) won a bronze medal. Our goal was to change the color of our medal this time, and with everyone’s support, we were able to do so—both Ashok and Kasthuri (Kasthuri Rajamani) won silver medals. Consequently, India secured two silver medals in the history of Para powerlifting

LPG distributors’ body opposes Delhi strike, urges members to keep supplies running

The FLDI does not support the proposed protests and indefinite strike in Delhi. We advocate for meaningful dialogue, concrete decisions, and sustained efforts to address the legitimate demands of distributors. We are engaged in constructive dialogue with the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) and the Ministry of Petroleum.

The concerns of the distributors are being heard, and we have received assurances of an early resolution. We believe that solutions can be achieved through dialogue and decisive action. Ensuring uninterrupted LPG service to consumers is our top priority. Dialogue with the OMCs and the Ministry is ongoing, and we have been assured of a resolution.

Given this, resorting to protests without exhausting all avenues for dialogue is not a practical approach. Maintaining a regular and safe supply of LPG to consumers remains our primary objective. We urge all fellow distributors to continue with supply and delivery operations—ignoring unverified calls for action—so that no family faces any inconvenience: Federation of LPG Distributors of India
