"That’s not even food…": Tamannaah Bhatia’s fitness guru reveals why your diet isn’t working, and the biggest mistake you’re making
Fitness coach Siddhartha Singh reveals why diets fail. He states that unsustainable crash diets, not willpower, are the real problem. Extreme restrictions like only drinking juice or eliminating entire food groups lead to failure. Singh advises...

“The Only Time You Can’t Stick to a Diet Is When It’s Not Sustainable,” Says Siddhartha Singh
In a recent Instagram video, Siddhartha shared an eye-opening story about one of his clients who couldn’t stay consistent with her diet. When he asked about her daily meal plan, she replied that it consisted of nothing but juices, orange juice in the morning, lauki (bottle gourd) juice in the afternoon, and karela (bitter gourd) juice in the evening.Surprised, he said, “That’s it? That was your diet? No wonder you couldn’t stick to it. That’s not even food, that’s literally liquid.”
According to the fitness coach, this kind of crash dieting is exactly what leads to failure. “The only time you cannot stick to a diet is when it is not sustainable, when it is a crash diet. Something like, ‘Let’s leave carbs’ or ‘Let’s not have sugar for the rest of our lives’… If it sounds like something that is not doable even while saying it aloud, you probably won’t be able to do it,” he explained.
Crash Diets Are the Real Problem, Not You
Singh explained that most people blame themselves when they fail to follow a diet. They think something is wrong with their metabolism, their willpower, or their discipline, but in reality, the fault lies in the unrealistic nature of the plan.“It’s Not You, It’s the Unrealistic Diet Plan”
According to Siddhartha, feeling guilty after giving up on a diet only worsens the cycle. He urged people to stop questioning themselves and instead question the diet plan itself.“You’re going to think, ‘I can’t stick to diets. There’s something wrong with me. Maybe it’s my metabolism.’ But no, nothing is wrong with you,” he clarified. “Find a nutrition plan that’s structured and sustainable, and you’ll see amazing results in due time.”
What’s the Right Way to Diet, Then?
The secret, according to Singh, lies in creating balance. Instead of cutting out entire food groups, the focus should be on moderation, consistency, and enjoyment. “A good diet is one that fits your lifestyle, not one that makes you dread every meal,” he said in his post.Sustainability Over Restriction
Siddhartha Singh’s message serves as a reminder that sustainable diets always win over extreme ones. It’s not about eating less or giving up your favourite foods forever, it’s about making realistic, healthy choices that you can follow for life.Inputs from agencies
