It went viral on China's microblogging platform Weibo and users panned it for calling Taiwan a country, Reuters reported. China claims Taiwan as its own, and has threatened to annex it by force if necessary.
Following this, Mars Wrigley on Friday published an apology on its Snickers China Weibo account, saying the relevant content had been amended.
