Getting paid to sleep sounds like the dream, doesn't it? That's exactly the job 26-year-old Triparna Chakraborty landed.

Chakraborty entered a live-sleep off as part of her intership programme with Wakefit.co - a D2C sleep solutions compnay. She won the sleep-off to secure a Rs five lakh prizw.

She slept nine hours everyday for 100 consecutive days to win the title


Chakraborty has been crowned the first 'Sleep Champion of India’


She scored 95% on her sleep efficiency, according to an Instagram post from the company, Wakefit.

To determine sleep efficiency, contestants were monitored on parameters like sleep duration, awake time, light sleep, and deep sleep.

In its first season, the competition garnered 1.7 lakh applicants; Wakefit has begun accepting applications for season 3, where a winner will get paid Rs 10 lakh for sleeping soundly for nine hours every night for 100 nights.
