This comes as the city continues to battle an intense heatwave, with temperatures crossing 42°C across several stations.

Dust storms have already been reported in parts of Delhi-NCR during this period, with varying intensity across different areas, indicating that the weather system is gradually strengthening and spreading across the city.

Delhi Weather Today: Dust Storm Forecast Yet to Fully Materialise

The latest Delhi weather update indicates the possibility of rainfall and continued dust storm activity across parts of the city. While forecasts mention wind speeds up to 50 km/h, dust storms have already been reported in several areas, though their intensity has varied. This is typical of such weather systems, which tend to develop gradually and impact different parts of the city at different times.

Mahesh Palawat of Skymet explained: “There is a cyclonic circulation over adjoining central Pakistan, northwest Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana… it is expected to reach Delhi and persist till April 30.”
