Delhi CM Rekha Gupta issues guidelines to ensure public safety during heatwave

Clear guidelines have been issued to every ministry. Ensure mandatory rest for workers from 1 to 4 PM, along with arrangements for water and shade. In schools, priority will be given to ensuring cool water for children, a clean environment, and administering ORS before sending them home. Additionally, the Transport Department will install water counters at bus shelters, and cold water will be provided in DTC buses through cool boxes. MCD, PWD, and Health Department have completed all preparations. Fire, Power, and Water Departments will ensure uninterrupted supply.
