Google knows how to celebrate’: Employee shares modak-making video from Bengaluru office, says she has celebrated more festivals at work

As Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations begin, festive preparations are underway across homes, workplaces and communities. In Bengaluru, a Google employee got an early start to the festivities after the company’s office hosted a modak-making activity for employees, allowing them to prepare the traditional sweet associated with Lord Ganesha.

Google Employee Shares Modak-Making Experience

Google employee Gazal Arora shared a video of the activity on Instagram, giving followers a glimpse of the celebrations at her workplace. Along with showing the modak-making session, she reflected on how often Google organises events and activities around festivals and special occasions.

Speaking about her experience, Arora said, "In the 6 months since joining Google, I've celebrated more festivals than I ever celebrated at home. Whether it's Onam or Independence Day, you name it and Google has an event for you. So today, we had a modak creation activity at our office. At first glance, it seemed like it would be quite tough, but turns out, if the batter is already prepared for you and the moulds are provided, it's not that tough. So I created all these modaks, and they were really, really delicious!"
