EV Doctor warns Bhavish Aggarwal: Ola is making the same mistake Yobyke made 10 years ago, and it’s making me sad
Ola Electric faces criticism from EV DOCTOR founder Shubham Mishra, who draws parallels to Yobyke's service-related downfall a decade ago. Mishra highlights customer dissatisfaction, lack of independent diagnostics, and a viral video of an Ola EV ...

EV Doctor's Shubham Mishra’s Write to Bhavish Aggarwal
“10 years ago, Yobyke died because of service issues,” Mishra wrote on X. “Ola is repeating the same mistake,” he added. He also mentioned that he had emailed Ola Electric’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal seeking collaboration to resolve these challenges.Mishra explained that his company, EV DOCTOR, provides AI-based battery diagnostics and works with thousands of EV workshops. According to him, this network could help Ola customers address their complaints.
“Many Ola customers (300+) have directly reached out to us last month, just asking for an unbiased battery checkup so that they can sue them,” he said. Mishra also alleged that Ola’s software protocol prevents any independent diagnostics.
Customers’ frustration and viral video
Mishra highlighted the anger among Ola owners, sharing a video clip of a man setting his Ola EV on fire outside a company service centre. He said, “Terms and resolutions could have been discussed, but share market pricing, PR and FOMO marketing seems more of a priority now.”While acknowledging Bhavish Aggarwal-led Ola’s role in pushing India’s EV adoption, Mishra ended his post urging cooperation. “You deserve the credit of starting EV revolution again in 2021, but this makes me sad. Let’s solve this Bhavish, together..!” he concluded.
