Bose has gone back to wired earbuds, eleven years after it stopped selling them. The new pair, called the Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds, costs $99 (roughly Rs 9,500) and is up for preorder starting today, according to The Verge. Unlike the earbuds Bose sold before 2015, this pair adds active noise cancelling, a feature wired earbuds from the brand never had. They also skip the old headphone jack completely, connecting through USB-C instead so they work directly with modern phones and laptops.

Bose's press release lists October 15 as the shipping date, though the store page itself shows October 13. Budget wired options from Sony, like the MDR-EX15AP, also skip ANC and still rely on the older 3.5mm jack, which makes Bose's approach closer to a wireless earbud experience minus the charging.
